Strange and miraculous how things come together in such splendid ways in this season.

In August I'll have my second gallery show in the year (and in my life) at KaVarna Coffeehouse, on Broadway here in my hometown. It's pretty bizarre that I came back to this city thinking that there was nothing of an art scene here. It's here, and it's explosive. If I were less ambitious, I'd have trouble keeping up. I know I would have in my earlier years.


This month will be the debut of my fourth issue of Coffeestain Comicks and I'm pleased to say that it's starting to become what I've always wanted it to be. It reaches a wider audience as far as content goes, and I'm taking great measures to improve the readability of the strip. Also, the stories are a bit easier to digest since they rely so much less on plot (even though it's still as strong as ever) and has so many more little chuckles to deliver.

So as soon as I'm done with Green Bay, which will be at the end of August, I have a transparent question mark. I think I know where I'm going, and there's a good chance it's near somebody I've grown to care a lot about. It's definitely a different step, though. We'll see how this all pans out, but in the meantime, I'm excited with what it will all bring.
